DIY Fall Pumpkin Spice Scrub 🍂

Hello my loves! Fall is approaching and I felt like whipping up something to put me in the fall mood. Living in Los Angeles, we don’t really experience “seasons” as many other states do. It’s either sunny, gloomy or rainy. Mostly sunny. The lack of fall leaves and old mornings however doesn’t stop the whole city from going pumpkin spice crazy! I am one of the many who cannot WAIT until it is “pumpkin spice” season! Everything about the smell and taste of pumpkin spice gives me emoji heart eyes instantly.

With summer ending, we should start reaching toward our more moisturizing products keep a barrier between our skin and those harsh winter temperatures we endure (harsh meaning anything below 65 degrees for me LOL! ) Also, just because it’s fall, doesn’t mean we still cant have fresh, radiant and glowing skin. So why not create an exfoliating scrub with the added bonus of pumpkin spice???

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (finely ground)
  • 1/8 cup jojoba oil
  • 1/8 tsp pumpkin spice blend
  • 1/8 tsp or half capsule of vitamin E oil
  • mixing bowl and spoon

I grind my brown sugar in a coffee grinder to get it as fine as possible. You can also grind it in a bowl yourself. The goal is to get it as fine as possible to keep the scrub from being too abrasive. Remember this is for your face and you want to treat the skin on your face like it is the most delicate piece of silk material you own. With that said, harsh abrasives need to be ground before using. Rough exfoliants can possible tear the skin and cause irritation. After grinding the sugar, i just pour in the rest of the ingredients. YUP. it’s that simple and that easy! I mix everything up and scoop out the mixture applying in circular motions on a clean face. Massage into skin with ring and pinky finger gently (you do not need to “scrub” or press firmly) for up to 30 seconds and leave on for another 5 minutes or rinse with cool water. You may realize you don’t even need to apply a moisturizer after! Since his mixture contains sugar, I wouldn’t keep it stored too long.

Enjoy your glow!
